It was not possible to miss this mushroom while walking in the Foresta delle Lame in the Natural Park of Aveto, Liguria, Italy. Its rich red colour and round form are as attractive at least as much as the lethality of the mushroom! The carpet of birch leaves from the previous autumn and the greening branches perfectly render the atmosphere of the place.

Beautiful Picture but, aminita muscaria are not lethal… They were once used by shamans…
Actually, they still are used by Shamans today.
they are delicious
Actaully, amanita muscaria will make you trip!
They are indeed still used, and not only by Shamans… -Eh, or so I’ve been told, of course…
A.K.A. Fly Agaric’s beside just shamans using them the vikings would eat them to enter the beserker state before each battle
Not lethal. Although they will give you a good high and some visuals, they come hand in hand with some health problems, particularly stress to the liver and possible signs of brain damage with extended use.
Alright lets clear this up, I happen to be a mycologist with six years of experience in the field. Amanita Muscaria contains ibutenic acid, when heated at the right temperature becomes muscimol (a highly psychoactive chemicle). if you eat this mushroom raw you will get sick and probably trip out. for a healthy adult to youd need to eat around eight of the ones in the picture above raw. when dried or bolied/cooked (in a very particular way) the ibutenic acid, which can cause gastrointestinal injuries while trying to digest, entirely converts to the rather harmless but extremely powerful muscimol. very different trip then psilocybin. BE CAREFUL…. in regards to picking mushrooms…WHEN IN DOUBT THROW IT OUT.
Hello, i just wanna ask if the amanita muscaria (fly agaric) effects are hallucinations with closed eyes (cev`s closed eyes visuals) ??? psilocybin mushroom effects got this.
A Good blog post, I will save this in my Propeller account. Have a great evening.
